DIEM

Turn your claimed DIEM into renewing AI usage credit on Venice.

What one DIEM represents

DIEM is an ERC-20 token on Base. Venice describes each staked DIEM as providing $1 of daily renewing credit for AI inference. For example, 5 staked DIEM provides a $5 daily allowance. This is usage credit, not a cash payment or a statement that DIEM costs $1. Using the allowance does not consume the staked token itself. Access depends on Venice’s service and current terms. See https://venice.ai/lp/diem

1. Claim your DIEM on Base

Half of each administrator deposit into MIEM’s FeeVault is assigned to the holder reward budget. MIEM buys DIEM on Base, and eligible holders claim their allocation after review and activation in the App. Once claimed, the DIEM is in your wallet. MIEM does not stake it for you or create a Venice account.

2. Stake through Venice

Open https://venice.ai/token and connect the wallet holding your DIEM. Use Venice’s staking interface and follow its approval and staking prompts. Keep some ETH on Base for gas. Simply holding DIEM does not activate the daily allowance; do not send tokens directly to a staking contract address.

3. Check your allowance

Sign in to Venice with the connected wallet and check https://venice.ai/settings/api for your DIEM allocation and usage. Venice’s current FAQ lists the daily refresh at 00:01 UTC. Treat it as a daily allowance rather than a growing savings balance, and check the account’s current credit rules. Monthly plan credits and prepaid USD are different balances. See https://venice.ai/faqs/all

Use it in Venice

Venice offers chat and media-generation tools, with supported paid workflows using credits. Check the selected model’s pricing and the balance shown in your account before starting. Web and mobile plan perks are not a promise of unlimited API access; supported models, plan limits and credit rules can differ. See https://featurebase.venice.ai/en/changelog

Use it in other apps or scripts

Create an Inference Only API key at https://venice.ai/settings/api In tools that support a custom OpenAI-compatible provider, configure the Venice API endpoint, your Venice key and a supported model. This can connect your allowance to coding tools, scripts or your own application. Compatibility varies by tool and feature; see https://docs.venice.ai/guides/getting-started/openai-migration

Keep API keys private. Use a separate key for each integration so you can revoke one without disrupting the others. Venice’s setup guide explains key types, expiration and usage controls: https://docs.venice.ai/guides/getting-started/generating-api-key

Control spending

Venice supports per-key DIEM and USD consumption limits. Choose the daily EPOCH window for a cap that resets each UTC day; monthly and lifetime windows are also available. For example, a daily DIEM cap of 1 limits that key’s DIEM-credit usage to 1 per day, subject to the account’s available allowance. It does not reserve extra credits for the key. Set the USD limit separately if you also want to constrain paid usage. See https://docs.venice.ai/api-reference/endpoint/api_keys/create

Check the account’s balances and usage instead of assuming an exhausted DIEM allowance always stops every type of charge. Venice exposes the balance selected for consumption through its billing API. MIEM does not control Venice’s deduction order or account billing: https://docs.venice.ai/api-reference/endpoint/billing/balance

Use it with an agent

An agent can use a limited inference API key. Venice also documents wallet-based access through x402 using Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE), a signed message proving wallet control. That route can use DIEM balance from a linked Venice account before USDC-backed funds. It is a separate Venice integration, not a feature MIEM automatically sets up. See https://docs.venice.ai/guides/integrations/x402-venice-api

Unstaking and trading

You can keep DIEM staked for access or unstake it to transfer or trade. Venice currently specifies a one-day unstaking cooldown, so unstaking is not instant. Check the current staking interface before making plans around withdrawal timing: https://featurebase.venice.ai/help/articles/2825011-is-there-a-cooldown-to-unstake-diem

Separate tokens, separate services

MIEM is the project token; DIEM is the reward token; VVV is a separate Venice token. You do not need to mint DIEM from VVV to stake DIEM you have already claimed. MIEM does not mint DIEM, provide inference itself, or guarantee reward amounts. MIEM is independent and is not endorsed by Venice.
